The University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (UNIMORE), founded in 1175, is among the oldest universities in the world and has always been ranked among the top Italian universities for quality of teaching and research. Then, since 1998, UNIMORE has been a university with a “network of universities”. This organization implies a coordinated, equal, balanced, effective and efficient development of the teaching, research and management activities of the two offices, taking into account their specific characteristics and vocations.
UNIMORE is located in the heart of one of Europe’s wealthiest and most dynamic regions, which is world-renowned for its production of mechanical parts, engines, sports cars (e.g. Ferrari and Maserati) as well as for its agro-food sector, ceramic tiles and manufacturing industries.
UNIMORE is composed of 13 Departments, 1 School of Medicine, 16 interdisciplinary research centres, 15 PhD courses. Unimore has 32 Master’s degree programmes and 44 bachelor’s degree programmes, 6 Syngle-Cycle Master’s Degree programmes and 6 Master’s degree Programmes taught in English.
It has more than 600 international exchange agreements and 250 Memorandum of Understanding.
