If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the UNICORE team at unicore@unhcr.org.
General
These Terms of Use apply to all individuals and institutions using the UNICORE platform (“users”), including:
- Refugee students applying for scholarships under the UNICORE programme;
- Partner universities participating in the programme;
- UNHCR offices involved in verifying refugee status and supporting the selection process.
By accessing or using the UNICORE platform, users agree to comply with these Terms of Use.
Services
The UNICORE platform facilitates access to higher education opportunities in Italy for refugee students. It allows users to:
- Submit scholarship applications to participating universities;
- Share relevant academic and personal information required for eligibility and selection;
- Enable universities to review applications and communicate with candidates;
- Allow UNHCR to verify refugee status and support the process.
The platform also serves as a secure environment for data exchange between applicants, universities, and UNHCR, solely for the purposes of the UNICORE programme.
Registration and Use
All users must register before using the services provided by the platform.
Applicants (students) must provide accurate and truthful information about their identity, academic background, and refugee status.
Universities must use the platform solely for managing applications within the UNICORE programme.
UNHCR offices use the platform exclusively to verify the protection status of applicants and to facilitate the selection process.
Users must not upload, submit, or share any material or information:
- That is knowingly false or misleading, defamatory, infringing, obscene, indecent, threatening or invasive of a person’s privacy or unlawful in any way;
- Which you do not own or for which you have not obtained all necessary licenses and/or approvals as may be required by law;
- Which is technically harmful (including, without limitation, files that contain viruses, corrupted files or any other similar software or programs that may damage the operation of another’s computer); or
- Impersonating any person or entity, or falsely stating or otherwise misrepresenting your affiliation with anyone or any entity.
- Deleting any author attributions, legal notices or proprietary designations or labels in any file that is uploaded;
- Falsifying the origin or source of software or other material contained in a file that is uploaded;
- Advertising or offering to sell any goods or services, or conducting or forwarding surveys, contests or chain letters, or downloading any file posted by another user of UNHCR websites that you know, or reasonably should know, cannot be legally distributed in such a manner.
If in doubt, please do not share your content through UNICORE.
