University of Modena and Reggio Emilia

The University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (UNIMORE) is among the oldest universities in the world and has always been ranked among the top Italian universities for quality of teaching and research. UNIMORE is a university with a “network of universities”. This organization implies a coordinated, equal, balanced, effective, and efficient development of the teaching, research and management activities, taking into account their specific characteristics and vocations. It is located in the heart of one of Europe’s wealthiest and most dynamic regions, which is world-renowned for its production of mechanical parts, engines, sports cars (e.g. Ferrari and Maserati) as well as for its agro-food sector, ceramic tiles and manufacturing industries. It is composed of 13 Departments, 1 School of Medicine, 1 School of Engineering, 37 research centres. Unimore offers: 9 Master's Degrees thought in English, 7 Double Degree Programmes and 3 Double PhD Programmes. With just over 26,000 students including 1,500 foreign students and over 400 students a year come to Unimore on international mobility programmes, UNIMORE is large enough to offer all the facilities one would expect from a major university but small enough to retain a personal and friendly learning environment.
