UniTrento is a medium-sized university, located in the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage Site. Thanks to its modest size, it is easy for students and teachers to connect and there is a continuous exchange of ideas across many different disciplines: in short, the virtuous dynamism of a smaller university. Furthermore, as a result of long-term international relations, UniTrento is a vibrant, multicultural university which fosters an enriching and stimulating learning environment. In order to guarantee an increasingly international study offer, the University grants English Master’s Degrees in Economics, Sociology, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, International relations, Biotechnology, Cognitive science and Agrifood innovation management.

National and international classifications consistently rank the University of Trento as one of the top Italian universities. UniTrento is widely recognized as a dynamic and innovative research and teaching institution with strong connections to industry and top-class services.

The university supports the access of refugees to university education and research, and promotes social integration as well as equality and inclusion policies. In 2017, it established a study support program (FUTURA) for refugee and asylum seeking students living in Italy, which now welcomes 15 students.
