Marche Polytechnic University (UNIVPM) is a public institution with a mainly technical-scientific vocation. Founded in 1969, its headquarter is located in the city of Ancona.

The University now has five Faculties and more than 60 degree programmes in the following cultural areas: Agriculture, Economics, Engineering, Medicine and Science.

Since the first academic year in 1969-1970, the student population has constantly increased, from the starting 290 to the about 17.000 of today.

7 out of its 12 Departments have been declared “Excellence Department” by the Italian National Agency for University and Research Evaluation (ANVUR). UNIVPM also proudly ranks 107th globally in terms of sustainability (UI GreenMetric World University Ranking 2023).

Among its main strategic objectives, UNIVPM has long aimed at strengthening its international dimension. In addition to the 350 Erasmus+ agreements with Universities in over 30 countries, UNIVPM has signed 360 Memorandums of Understanding with Universities in more than 80 countries all over the world.

UNIVPM focuses heavily on internationalization, especially aiming at attracting international students. To this end, numerous actions have been undertaken in the last few years, including an increase in study courses entirely taught in English (five Master’s Degree courses and one Bachelor’s Degree course).

Thanks to the variety of disciplinary areas, UNIVPM is able to develop the professional skills required in the job market and enhance research, as an instrument to create knowledge. UNIVPM is also committed to the establishment of international relations, endorsing projects of international mobility for students, researchers and professors, as well as by organizing joint degree courses.
